This one is just different enough to stand out in a crowd without being too over the top. Built on a trapeziodal Montesino cigar box from Arturo Fuente, this guitar is full of odd angles and asymmetry that's entirely intentional - but other than the unusual shapes and angles this is a pretty straightforward cigar box guitar. The tone is bright and dry with good attack with a touch of shimmer and not a lot of fuss.
The neck is built from hard maple and cherry bracing and features an Indian rosewood fretboard. There is also a cherry wood laser engraved truss rod cover and laser engraving on the neck base inside the box. Gold hardware features heavily on this four-string with improved box latches and a hardtail bridge is recessed into the cigar box lid for better string action and resonance. The snake oil humbucker feeds through tone and volume controls to help dial in the right sound.
"XXVIII" is serial number 2410028, hence the name. Handcrafted in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
