Trifle

I wasn't even going to build this one but I kinda threw it together anyway. White box, white knobs, chrome hardware, a pickup goinked from an old Squier strat. It's a bit of a trifle, so "Trifle" is the name.

It's surprisingly good, and not as much strat quack as you might think. This is one of the few I've built that has the pickup in the bridge position (since that's where it was on that old strat) and it works remarkably well. I'm not mad at it.

The inside of the box is painted with iridescent blue to match the labels. There's an engraved maple truss rod cover anda few other mapley and cherry bits on the inside. The action is nice. The tone is balanced with a bit of smooth bite.

This build is full of triplets. Triple soundholes flank each side of the box label. Three screws mount the neck to the box. And of course, three strings gauged .046/.036/.026 and tuned to DAD because that's what I do.
