Thin Glint

Presenting for your consideration is build #059 "Thin Glint", first completed build of '26 off my workbench. Three strings, gold hardware, dual rail pickup, all packed in a box <30cm thick. It plays and sounds silky smooth with a balanced and articulate tone that is straight up class.

New for this year is engraving and mounting the serial plate separate from the neck. In the past I've engraved the serial number directly into the neck, but I decided that was a pain in the buttocks as I'd have to align the neck up precisely in the laser bed and if I made an error of any sort it was extremely difficult to fix. This way it's less stress. Everything else is up to my usual standards.

This instrument is strung with lighter strings than I usually grab, with 42/31/24 gauge strings tuned to EBE. It's not quite as growly as my usual string gauge and tuning, but the play is exceptionally fluid and responsive.
