The Catharsis Of Medusa And Lycaeon
There's a lot buried in this - creating this piece was a catharsis and there is quite a bit more to it than meets first glance.
Medusa sits on her throne surrounded by gold and the stone figures of her would be suitors, while in the background volcanic rage spews into the air. The trees are full of spiders, and in the background a neglected pet. The trees are bleached and there is trash everywhere. Lycaeon enters the scene to challenge Medusa's apparent crimes, but he may yet be turned to stone...
