Rue

"Rue" is a sister build of "La Endecharía" with the same soundhole layout and Dia De Los Muertos theme on the lid of this cigar box from Deadwood Cigars. The bumf is pretty much the same but there are some important differences that make this a unique build.

Like its sister build, the blood red of the box is accented with distressed gold and bronze hardware. This one is a bit more bare bones with natural resonation in mind, with bare wood inside the box and a single coil, three pole pickup with a simple volume control. The neck is hard maple, the fingerboard is rosewood, and a laser engraved purpleheart truss rod cover caps the headstock.

The tone is bright and raw with a bit of dirt and jangle and a lot of energy and sustain that pairs well with the dirty blues. Throw some fuzz on this one and you've got a solid rocker!

This three string guitar is strung with Ernie Ball strings gauged 46/36/26 and tuned to DAD.
