Pathfinder

"Pathfinder" is my first six-string cigar box guitar build - the name is taken from this "Sendero" box seemed fitting as I worked out a lot of new things I've never tried before with this one.

This build has parts from other guitars that otherwise would've never had the chance to sing again. The neck had a headstock break and has since been repaired, reshaped, and refurbished. The pickups are from an old Strat and are wired together in series as a humbucker. The tuners and some of the electrics are from another guitar. The hardtail bridge has parts from two different sources. Of course I built new where it was necessary and threw it all into a box and tuned it all to open C because let's just face it, standard guitar tuning sucks.

I'm not gonna lie, it's not perfect - but it is properly good and much better than the sum of its parts which would've otherwise been relegated to the bin. Reduce, reuse, recycle ♻️
