Little Wing
This one is a little different. Literally.
"Little Wing" is a very petite build coming in at over three inches (7cm) shorter than a soprano ukelele. The walnut-stained coffin box is just six inches (15.5cm) long. On the box lid is a golden death's head moth with twin soundholes and it surrounded and accented with gold, brass, and black hardware. Under the lid is the full set of electrics you'll find in one of my bigger builds. A Lucky 13 flat pup is tucked under the moth and there are tone and volume controls leading to a Puretone output jack.
The tone? It's woody, high and bright. Ukelele nerds would call it barky or "ponticello". It can hit some ridiculously high treble notes with ease and it's definitely going to grab attention wherever this is strummed.
The neck is poplar with a walnut fingerboard. No truss rod is needed on a build this small! It has 26/13 gauge strings that are both tuned to B an octave apart and played on a fretted diatonic scale.
