Knuckle Sandwich
"Knuckle Sandwich" is somewhere in the inexplicable void between single-string diddley bows and full-on CBGs. This build has a 20" scale, laser engraved position dots (including brass knuckles at the 12th position) all on a cherry fingerboard and a hardwood dowel neck.
Under the hood is a high output "Lucky 13" flat pup paired with the usual tone and volume controls. The tone is surprisingly good - it's bright, rowdy, and there's tons of juicy output.
The intonation is 100% dialed in and twin hardtails anchor a pair of strings, a .036 and .017 both tuned to "C" with an octave difference. This creates an option between a twin string drone effect or the ability to dance around the fingerboard and get some range and even play your own callback. With only two strings I skipped the truss rod on this one and kept the headstock more "traditional"... whatever *that* actually means besides it's perfectly playable and hits like a solid punch.
