Hawáta
$300.00
This build is called "Hawáta", which is the Crow word for "one" - so named because this is serial number 001 and the box came from a cigar box company in Billings, MT, which is on Crow ancestral land. Sorry redneck flag wavers - they were there first, and that's just fact.
So, here's a quick rundown: Four strings. Maple neck with truss rod and Indian rosewood fretboard. Custom-shaped headstock with laser engraving. Cattle bone nut. Big Sky cigar box with red oak bracing. Alnico V humbucker pickup. Tone and volume controls leading to a "Pure Tone" jack. Matte polyurethane finish. Strung with Ernie Ball strings tuned to GDGB.
Serial number 2402001, hand built in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
